My visit started out a little rocky. I was super tired from being at the ICU with my mom for the past several days and sat at the sushi bar. No one came to greet me, give me a menu or take my order. However, once this was noticed by one of the sushi chefs he immediately got someone. Paul, possibly a manager or one of the owners, came over and was super helpful! He was very apologetic and made me feel welcome. It felt like he cared about me as a customer and an actual person given what was going on with my family. It was really refreshing. So I feel like they made up for the hiccups at the beginning! Then I got my sushi and let me tell you... IT WAS DELISH!!! I've traveled all over, including Japan, and lived in coastal areas most of my adult life. So the fish I've had in my sushi is usually pretty fresh. To be honest, even with the other great reviews, I wasn't expecting the sushi to be so good in this area but I will tell you that it is! Everything I had tasted fresh and I can't wait to go here again while I'm in town helping my mother recover!!! Looking forward to it and thank you to Paul for taking such good care of me!!!

So, four words sums this place up:
Horrible service - fantastic Sushi.
We took a birthday party of 8. We ordered LOTS of Sushi, one fried rice (for the non Sushi lover) and one habachi dinner for the guy who eats a LOT.
The Sushi was fresh, came out quickly, was presented with class and was creative and tasty. Other sides, soups and salads we ordered were also excellent. I'm told the the habachi dinner was good (and it looked good). The fried rice was huge with lots of meat and steaming hot.
But the service . . .our order was taken quickly but then . . .
The drinks and soup came out quick. We had to ask 4 times to get another set of silver ware. Out drinks were never refilled despite asking several times. The habachi dinner came after about 30 minutes and the fried rice FINALLY came after asking about it twice and waiting until everyone else was finished eating (I'd guess almost an hour).
Then it took several tries to get the check.
It's really sad that the service is so bad - because the Sushi is so good I will go back. I'll just start complaining sooner, longer and louder. -

Waitress was good. Quick. Chicken fried teriyaki I liked. Good fresh flavor. The sushi was ok. Tougher than it should be. Pricey for what you get. It's odd an entire faux cherry tree fills an area of the restaurant that could generated tens of thousands of dollars in revenue a year if they put tables there instead. ??? Garden or restaurant?

This place did not wow me. I thought the sushi rolls were all very generic. Lots of rice and sauce. I may give it another chance if I am in the area.

Prepare to remain hungry and thirsty. The food takes 45 minutes to get to the table during lunch. The water was dingy and tasted like chemicals. The sweet tea tastes like they haven't cleaned the machine or any container. How nasty must a restaurant be if the most healthy beverage is a soda? I can't say how the food tastes because they took so long to bring it I cancelled the order. Go next door to Kroger for sushi. They're clean, fast, and tasty. Unlike this dump which showed promise when they opened. Apparently they stopped caring after the doors opened. I used to love coming here but this is the last time I ever return.
Also watch the check because no one received their entire order. What did arrive was cold. How long must fried food sit before it's ice cold? I can tell you. It takes exactly enough time to learn a lesson about eating elsewhere.
If you send back mud, what this place calls water. Be prepared to pay for the water.
